Directions for Frankenstein Treat Pot
With the Mistletoe Green Patio Paint and foam brush,
paint the lower exterior portion of clay pot (below
rim) and allow to dry. To paint Frankenstein’s hair,
use the paint brush to outline the face and neck
with the Wrought Iron Black Patio Paint. Use the
foam brush to paint the interior, rim, and outlined
hairline also with the black Patio Paint. Allow to
dry.
Use
the Sterling Silver Patio Paint to paint both wood
furniture buttons silver and let dry. Position
painted knobs on each side of the head and glue with
E6000. On the face, position both 20mm moving eyes
in the top center and adhere with E6000. You may use
the optional removable tape to help hold the
furniture buttons and eyes to pot while it dries.
For
the facial details, use the black fine point paint
pen to draw in the nose and mouth below the eyes.
Use the white paint pen to draw “stitches” on
Frankenstein’s temple and below the one of the eyes
opposite of each other.
Fill with treats and enjoy!
Directions for Mummy Treat Pot
With the Cloud White Patio Paint, paint the entire
pot (both interior and exterior) using the foam
brush. Allow to dry.
Measure and cut a 14” piece of cheesecloth. Cut into
2” strips. If cheesecloth frays, rips, or is cut
crookedly, it’s okay. Place your wrapped strips on
pot and be sure to crisscross them like a mummy.
When you are satisfied with the placement of a
strip, use the paintbrush to apply tacky glue where
you want your strips first, then glue down your
cheesecloth strips. Keep layering and wrapping
strips until you have 2 remaining strips. Decide
where you want your face to be placed and cut a
small piece of cheesecloth off of one strip and roll
into a ball and glue with the tacky glue. Use one of
the remaining pieces to wrap over the nose and
around the pot. With the last remaining strip, wrap
around the top rim, but be sure to leave a 5” tail
to dangle down near the side of the face.
Once the tacky glue is dried, accent your mummy
wrappings with dabs of Antique White and Dolphin
Gray Ceramcoat paint. This helps “age” your mummy
and give it some depth. Use the E6000 to adhere the
eyes above the nose. You may use removable tape to
help hold the eyes while the E6000 sets. Use the
paint pen to draw in the mouth below the nose.
