Directions
Wash glass bowls. Dry completely. Paint the outside of the bowls with the white acrylic paint using the sea sponge. Let dry. Sponge on a coating of the Sparkle glaze to help seal the paint and add some sparkle. Let dry.
Trace and cut out pieces from foamie and felt to the
patterns. Cut the two circles for the hat from one piece of felt.
Place the smaller bowl onto the larger one for the snowman’s head. Glue the moving eyes onto the head. Place the orange “carrot” nose below the eyes and glue in place. Glue the five pieces of black “coal” below the nose into a curved smile, as in the pictured sample. Glue a red heart at each end of the smile for the cheeks.
To create the hat, take the 3 ½” x 12” Black felt strip and overlap the short ends about ¼”. Glue ends together to form a tube. Stand the tube onto the 4” circle, matching the edges. Glue the circle to one end of the tube. Place the open end of the tube onto the 7” felt circle. Center and glue together.
To create the scarf, follow the instructions for the Finger Lei in the “Handcrafted Leis and Flowers book vol.8”, using regular yarn. Make the scarf as long as you wish. Wrap around the snowman’s neck.
Turn on the battery operated T-Lites and place one in each of the bowls. Place the hat onto the top of the snowman’s head. Cut a Christmas pick apart and glue to the side off the hat for a decoration.
