#1
Rose
1a) Mix white and red clay to make lt. pink color. Make a 1/4” ball
and form a teardrop shape, this will be the center. Make a 3/8” ball
and place in the palm of your hand. Using your thumb, press down on
the ball to flatten to create petal. Attach petal to the center by
gently pressing the base petal to the base of the center. Overlap petals
as you layer them around the center. Repeat steps 1 thru 6 for 1 more
rose. Repeat steps 1 thru 6 to make 2 smaller roses.
1b) Make a 1/2” ball from the green clay. Roll into a log and
flatten. Wrap the green clay around the bottom of the roses.
1c) Mix white and red clay to make pink color. Make a 1/4” ball
and roll into a log and flatten. Roll the strip tightly to form a rosebud.
Repeat for 2 more rosebuds. Make a 1/4” ball and roll into a
log and flatten. Wrap the green clay around the bottom of the roses.
1d) Follow the Leaf Instruction and Finishing step below.
#2 Daisy Pin (white and yellow)
2a) Make a 1/2” ball from the yellow clay and form into a teardrop
shape, this is the center). Make a 1/2” ball from the white clay
and form into a log shape (1/2” wide x 1-1/2” long).
Use the scissors to cut slits into the clay. Wrap the strip around
the
center. Using the texture tool or toothpick add texture to center
of flower.
2b) Make two 1/2” balls from the yellow clay and form into a
teardrop shape. Make two 1/2” balls from the green clay and
roll into a log. Flatten log and roll around bottom of teardrops.
Using
the texture tool or toothpick add texture to teardrops.
2c) Follow the Leaf Instruction and Finishing step below.
#3 Daisy Pin (yellow and blue daisies)
3a) Mix blue, white and red clay to make periwinkle color. Make a
1/2” ball
and form into a teardrop shape. Cut rounded part of teardrop in half
with clay scissors. Cut both halves in half. Cut the 4 halves in half.
You should now have 8 petals. Using the smaller end of the metal tool,
press down on one of the petals. Repeat for remaining 7 petals. Make
a 1/8” ball and glue to center of daisy. Repeat steps 1 thru
7 for two orange daisies
3b) Follow the Leaf Instruction and Finishing step below.
Leaf Instructions:
Form green clay into a teardrop. Place clay on leaf mold near the
tip and flatten clay onto mold with fingers. Lift the leaf off
of the mold.
Repeat for 2 more leaves.
Finishing (for all flowers)
Roll black clay into 1/8” logs (3-5 are needed). Glue logs
to cover clothespin and trim off excess clay if needed. Arrange leaves
and flowers and glue to clothespin. Glue magnet to back of clothespin.
