Directions
Using the Hearty Clay color scale tool,
measure out an “I” ball of white Hearty Clay and mix with an “E” ball of
Brown Hearty Clay. Mix well to achieve a light brown. Roll the clay into
a ball and shape into a rounded triangular shape for the puppy’s head.
Measure out 2 “F” balls of brown. Shape each
ball into an elongated teardrop for the puppy’s ears. Place an ear on
each side of the head.
Measure out a “B” ball of white clay. Divide
the ball in half and roll into 2 smaller balls. Place on the lower third
of the face for the muzzle.
Measure out an “A” ball of black clay and
divide in half. Take one half and roll into a ball for the nose. Place
the nose on the top center of the muzzle. Divide the remaining half in
half again. Roll into 2 tiny balls for the eyes. Place on the face above
the muzzle. Note: You can use a little tacky glue to secure if
necessary. Set puppy aside.
Measure 3 “I” balls of red Hearty Clay. Roll
together into a 5” – 6” log about ½” thick. Join the ends of the log
together and shape into a heart. Take out some clay to make the heart
smaller if necessary. Place puppy’s head onto the heart. Use a little
tacky glue to secure if necessary. Let dry. Glue the pin back behind the
heart. |
